Review: Some Like it Wild by M. Leighton

First was The Wild Ones. Now, the next book in M. Leighton's Wild Ones series...

How far will a good girl go for the bad boy she loves?

Laney Holt is a preacher’s daughter. A good girl. Her only goal was to get married, have babies, and live happily ever after, just like her parents. Only that didn’t happen. The two people closest to her betrayed her, and Laney’s dreams came crashing down. Now she’s left with an empty space she doesn’t know how to fill. Until she meets Jake Theopolis, a daredevil with a death wish who has heartbreaker written all over him.

Jake has no interest in thinking beyond the here and now. All he wants out of life is the next rush, the next “feel-good” thing to keep his mind off the pain of his past. His latest rush? Showing Laney there’s more to life than being a good girl—and that going bad can be so much fun. Her only concern now is how she can ever hope to satisfy the wild side of a boy like Jake. She’s looking forward to trying. And so is Jake.

If you love The Wild Ones, you'll be just as wild for M. Leighton's Bad Boys series which includes Down to You, Up to Me, and Everything for Us.

Laney is a good girl she really had no choice to be anything but good because she's the preacher's daughter. Jake is the bad boy full of sin. He sleeps around and it doesn't matter if there's a ring on a woman's ring finger or not. The town knows Jake very well so it's a shock to everyone when Laney is seen with him. Laney is going through heart break because of something that happened with her best friend. Jake is trying to help Laney loosen up and live life. Jake makes sure to tell Laney every chance he gets that he doesn't do relationships or love for that matter. Laney is determined to find out who made him think he was worthless and unworthy of love. Jake is a sexy fireman with a naughty mouth and I had to fan my face a couple times because of his dirty words! I loved every time he said something dirty to Laney! I loved the way Laney and Jake act with each other. I felt really bad for both of them on more then one account. I got lost in this story and felt all the emotions Jake and Laney with through. I laughed and cried with them. I also feel in love with these two! If you haven't read Some like it Wild then you're missing out on such a wonderful read! Great job Michelle on another fantastic book.
